George Podeszwa Obituary

Quaker Hill - George V. Podeszwa, 81, of Bloomingdale Road, Quaker Hill, died Wednesday at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. He was born in New London, the son of George W. and Grace Manning Podeszwa.

He is survived by his wife Susan Kapilotis Podeszwa; sons, Michael G. Podeszwa and his wife Kimberley of Waterford; Christopher Podeszwa and his wife Isabella of Waterford, a daughter, Stephanie Tafro and her husband Daniel of Guilford; a sister, Carol Batch, of Waterford; and eight grandchildren.

At his request, service will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of donor choice. Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington Street, New London is assisting the family. Please visit Byles.com to sign the guestbook or to share a memory.
