Marguerite DuBois Obituary

Uncasville - On Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, Marguerite "Peggy" (Morris) DuBois, of Uncasville, died peacefully after a long battle with dementia.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Robert DuBois; daughter, Elizabeth and her husband, TJ Tomaszek; son Daniel; grandchildren, Landon O'Brien and Zachary Tomaszek; her sister, Susette and her husband, Peter Mauro; nieces, Michelle Mauro and Melanie Lee; as well as siblings, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

Her family takes solace in knowing she is now reunited with her mother Marguerite Caron and other family and friends who have passed before her.

After graduating from Montville High School, Peggy went on to become a licensed hairdresser, certified home health aide, certified para-professional and catering server at Foxwoods Lake of Isle Golf Course.

She enjoyed spending time at the beach, a glass of wine and was always the life of the party. She baked the best Christmas cookies and her daughter Elizabeth has taken on this beloved tradition.

In addition to all of the nurses and aides at Apple Rehab, a special thank you goes to her sister Susette and dear friend, Donna Muscarella, for all of the love and support they gave her, especially in her final years.

A memoriam in memory of Peggy will be included at St. John's Church located in Uncasville, at 11 a.m. Feb. 16, during the Sunday Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Peggy DuBois Dementia Fund at Apple Rehab for patients who do not have the care and support that she had during her stay. Donations can be made in person or sent to: Checks payable to: Apple Rehab, Uncasville Orchard Grove, 5 Richard Brown Drive, Uncasville CT, 06382.
