Marian Rossi Obituary
Marian was born on Dec. 1, 1931 in New London, the daughter of Frank and Delphine Sistare.
She was a devoted wife, mother and friend, always quick with a smile and kind words. She was a member of Waterford Senior Center, where she enjoyed many activities including yoga, bowling, bingo and the "Over the Hill Gang" hiking group. She was an active member of St. Paul's Church and participated in many of their events; she especially loved the sewing group. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Rossi is predeceased by her husband, Antonio; and son, Anthony "Mark"; and sister, Ruth Ciavaglia.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Rossi and wife, Jacqueline, of Ledyard, Robert Rossi and wife, Molly, of Waterford; daughter, Carol Silva and husband, Larry, of Quaker Hill; brother, Frank "Brud" Sistare of Fla.; grandchildren, Holly, Allison, and Lauren Silva, Jonathan Rossi, Laura Toby, Tyler and Ashley Rossi, Lisa Falkowski, Matthew Rossi, Amanda Boutcher; as well as eight great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept.23 at St. Paul's Church in Waterford. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, New London.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Town of Waterford Historical Mural Wall, c/o Waterford Senior Services, 15 Rope Ferry Rd. Waterford, CT. 06385

Please accept my sincere condolences. I admired Marion very much. She was a lovely lady, always quick with a warm smile and hug that made you feel welcome and special.
Her love of family and faith is to be admired. She always spoke of her children & grandchildren in such a warm and lovely manner. I am lucky to have known her.
