Paul Messore Obituary
After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy Seabees. Upon his return, he met the love of his life, Cecelia (Coleda) Messore and spent 58 years together, until her passing in September of 2021. Together they had four children: Jonathan (LaurieAnn). Terrence (Karen), Erin Pedone (John) and Daniel; five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Paul worked most of his life in the amusement game industry and owned his own pool hall in Groton, until his retirement in 2007.
A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Maplewood Cemetery, 184 Salem Turnpike, Norwich.

May his memory forever be a blessing. Deepest condolences to everyone. Words can't express what Paul meant to me. He was more than just a boss at Captain Video where I worked summers from age 15 thru my mid-late 20's! He became such a close and dear friend. I was so sad I wasnt able to reconnect with him after sending my condolences and contact info when his wife passed. I fondly will remember them both forever. Love marla

This man was such an important role model and part of my life through my teenage years through young adulthood!! I was blessed to meet him 30 years ago when he took a teenage Robin under his wing and gave me a summer job for 15 years! He taught me to fix games and run the arcade at Sound View Beach, with and without him! To some, it was Captain Video. To others, it was American Family Entertainment Center. It was in his arcade that my love affair with pinball began. He taught me what hard work looked like. He taught me how employees should be treated. He had such a sarcastic sense of humor and was always so quick witted. I will forever cherish the impact he had in my life and the memories we shared. RIP Paul.
