Leilani Messore

Leilani was born on November 27th, 1946 and passed away on
March 26th, 2025 at the age of 78AUGUSTA- Leilani "Loni" Ann Messore, 78, passed away on Wednesday March 26, 2025, at Maine General Rehabilitation & Long-Term Care – Glenridge. She was born in Providence, RI November 27, 1946, daughter of the late George and Mary (Peluso) St. Pierre. Leilani was educated in the schools of North Providence and was a 1964 graduate of St. Xaiver's High School. On July 1, 1967, she married Ronald Messore, and they shared 40 wonderful years together.
She was employed throughout most of her life as a bookkeeper for the State of Maine court system.
Leilani enjoyed several interests including singing in a church choir in South Portland for 30 years, cruise ship adventures, ballroom dancing and trips to Moosehead Lake. She was very active at her at her church, St. John's in South Portland where she taught CCD classes, marriage encounter, and pre-Cana marriage prep classes.
She is survived by her two daughters, Marlene Trank and husband Cedric, and Marilyn Austin and husband Van. Brother Eugene St. Pierre and his wife Genevieve and Sister Patricia Chappell. Her grandchildren Stephen and Gregory Trank, Angela Silva and her husband Andy and Anthony Perron. Three Great Grandchildren, Amelia, Thomas and Isabella Silva as well as several nieces, nephews and close friends.
Loni cherished her time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Leilani was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Messore, and a sister Loretta Waldron.
A memorial mass will be held Friday April 4th at 10:30AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church Augusta with a reception to follow at the church hall for relatives & friends.
