Phoebe Foster Obituary
We look to the inspiration of Phoebe's strength and courage to guide us through this time of healing as we cope with her loss.
Born Aug. 30, 1972 in Rochester, N.Y., the daughter of Cathy (Apgar) Clancy and Willard "Butch" Jones, she had lived in East Hampton for the past three years. Phoebe had earned a bachelor's degree in environmental management from Rochester Institute of Technology and her master's degree in management from Rensselaer. She had been employed by Hamilton Sunstrand as an environmental engineer.
Phoebe leaves her loving husband, David Foster, of East Hampton; her father, her mother and step father, Tim Clancy, of Clifton, N.Y.; a devoted sister, Abby Jones, of New Britain; two step sons, Alex and Grayson, of Newington, and a step daughter, Rachel, of Newington; and three step sisters, Meaghan Clancy-Shields, Bridget Clancy-Stasonis, and Molly Clancy.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. in First Congregational Church East Hampton, with the Rev. Thomas Kennedy officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home, 112 Main St., East Hampton, on Friday evening from 4 to 8.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hartford Hospital's Palliative Care Unit or Breast Cancer Clinical Research, or to Caringbridge.org.

My deepest sympathy at your loss. I met Phoebe at the beginning of her career at Pratt & Whitney. Although it was only a short period of time, it was a privilege and a blessing. Phoebe touched the heart of everybody she met and will be missed by all.

SO SORRY to hear, i am in shock! Ive tried to contact Phoebe over the past year or so, with no response. She was a great friend and we had a lot of good times together. I found out thru Hamilton Sundstrand - used to leave her notes at her desk. She was loved very much, will be missed more! If you ever need anything - dont hesitate to contact me!

It's hard to find the words to tell you how much we will all miss Phoebe. Allen and I are so lucky to have had Phoebe in our lives and share her wonderful spirit with us. We will miss her, but I will always have her in my heart.

My grief is huge and I can't imagine yours who must feel the greatest loss. We will all learn to live without her physical presence, but her great spirit will never leave. I am so sorry to hear of Phoebe's passing. We were students at RIT together, and then co-workers at Pratt & Whitney North Haven. She was always a very positive person to be around, and although we have not kept in touch the last couple of years, I will miss her very much.

Dave, I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Phoebe. I recevied the message from a friend in CT who knew that I always thought Phoebe was a special person. I remember when the two of you got together I thought you were the perfect match.
