Robert Valentine Obituary

Cumberland, R.I. - Robert J. Valentine, 65, of Flat St., passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at home.

Born in Norwich, he was the son of the late Rudolph J. and Evelyn M. (Way) Valentine. He resided in Cumberland for the last several years.

Pastor Bob graduated in 1984 from Rhema Bible Training Center in Oklahoma and was involved in ministries at various churches until his death. Most recently, he was the music minister at Grace Family Worship Center.

He is survived by two sons, Gabriel Valentine of Colorado and Joshua Valentine of North Carolina. He is also survived by two brothers, Michael R. Valentine and his wife, Bernadette, of Salem, and Richard B. Valentine and his wife, Kristin, of Florida; and his two sisters, Carol A. Zinewicz and her husband, David, of Groton, and Catherine Caulfield and her husband, James, of North Carolina. Pastor Bob also leaves several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2016, in Grace Family Worship Center, 175 Eddie Dowling Highway, North Smithfield, R.I. Burial will be private.

Once neighbors and friends in Greeneville I have pleasant memories of our youth,ball playing with Robert & the guys and also working summer jobs together and basically just being friends with each other.
