Susan Montgomery Obituary

Pawcatuck - Susan Montgomery, 74, of Pawcatuck, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025. Born on Nov. 28, 1950, in Hartford, Susan grew up in West Mystic. She was the daughter of John and Lillian Gatchek.

After graduating from Fitch High School in 1968, she moved to New York City where she met the love of her life and father of her children, Edward Montgomery.

A lover of music, art and fashion, Susan also found great joy in traveling, reading and watching the boats at Stonington Point. Above all, she treasured spending time with her friends and family.

Susan is survived by her daughter Ellen Montgomery (and Cosmo Kitty) of Burlington, Vt.; and her daughter Erin Montgomery and her children, Myles and Erik, of Blue Hill, Maine.
