Timothy Wallace Obituary

Groton - Timothy "Tim" Jack Wallace, 64, of Groton, passed away peacefully Nov. 25, 2024. Timothy was born April 4, 1960, in Syracuse, N.Y., the son of Lawrence and Carol Wallace. He grew up in Syracuse, and graduated in 1978 from Liverpool High School.

In 1984, he moved to Groton, to set his roots with his then wife, Christine. Much of Timothy's career was in the investment casting operation followed by purchasing in the aerospace industry at PCC in Groton; he then moved on to Aero Cisionin, Chester.

His favorite pastimes were collecting americana, being outdoors and attending multiple sporting events. Tim had a creative flair for ceramics and cooking. He had a heart of adventure, a "freebird," and a true gift for telling stories and striking up conversations. Timothy was a unique soul who left a lasting impression on each person he met.

Timothy was preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Carol. He is survived by his daughters, Brianna Holland (Douglas) of Hope Valley, R.I., and Brittany Schmidt (Tyler) of Nevada, Mo. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert, Martin (Christine) and Lawrence, all of Syracuse, N.Y., Michael (Pamela) of Tampa, Fla., and Matthew (Nancy), of Wilton, N.H.; sisters, Cheryl of Mexico, N.Y., and Mary (Jim) of Chili, N.Y.; three grandchildren; two grand-dogs, nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and Friends will be invited to attend a Celebration of Life in the Syracuse, N.Y., area after the holidays. Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames Street, Groton, is assisting with the arrangements. Please visit www.Byles.com to sign the guestbook or to share a memory.

I started working with Tim around 1990. He was my supervisor and as time passed by he was also a good friend. He helped me out a lot by putting in a good word for me when I was trying to get a job at AeroCision. He loved his family... he loved cooking and he loved his Pekingese. I will miss him.

I´m so sorry to hear the passing of Tim. I met him back in 2011 at my very first CT Sun game with my "then" boyfriend turned husband.
He always had something positive to say to us, and sent us a beautiful wedding present when we were married.
When I was injured in an accident, he would check in on me regularly, both my physical and mental state, and was just so positive.
I´m sorry for your loss, and hope he is now at peace.

From Arwood to AeroCision, I think I worked with Tim half my life and always found him to be very generous and thoughtful. Everyone here sends their regards.

So very sorry to hear of Tim's passing. We were tight from kindergarten thru middle school. Unfortunately, in High School saw less of each other because of the way LHS broke everyone up alphabetically. Many fond memories though. My deepest sympathies to his daughters, siblings and anyone that called him a friend.

Brianna and Britt I am forever so sorry for your loss. I loved your dad, he was beyond the best person anyone could ever have. Sitting next to him and Britt for all our years at CT Sun games will forever be my best memories of him. He was the life of the party. Until we meet again Tim, continue to watch over all of us. Say hi to my mom and Alexis mom when uou see them

Brianna and Brittany so sorry for your loss of your dear father Tim. He was a good friend. Rich,Larry and I met him at the CT Sun games many years ago. He was always happy and smiling and loved to joke around. He talked about you both and showed me pictures of you . He was very proud of both of you. He had a tough going medically for a long time. He will be missed. Condolences to you both and all of his family.
