Amelia Tapia Obituary

Amelia Duarte Tapia of Palm Desert, California passed away on April 24 in Rancho Mirage of a heart attack. She was 83 She was born August 30, 1926 to Victor Duarte and Juana Amador in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. Married to William G. Tapia on July 3, 1963 in National City Calif., she was a housewife. She is survived by her husband William G. Tapia of Palm Desert Calif., Daughters Rita Uribe, Gloria Serrano, Lidia Tapia, Aurora Tapia, and Leticia Herrera, Sons Antonio Tapia, Juan Tapia Guillermo Tapia, Ernesto Tapia, and Carlos Tapia, sister Lupe Almaguer, 23 granchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Rudolfo Tapia. Visitation will be from 6pm to 9pm with a service at 6pm on May 2 at the Indio Apostolic Church in Indio, Calif. Memorial services will be at 10am on May 3 at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries in Indio, Calif. Burial will be following after 10am at Coschella Valley Cemetery.

My condolences go out to the Tapia Family, may the Lord comfort you and give you strenght through this difficult time. I know you don't know me, I went to school wth Aurora and my mom was friends with la senora Tapia, we lived across the street from your family in North Indio on Navajo St. Once again I am so sorry for your lost.
