I know him as my Uncle Don. His generous and caring nature could always be counted on. Even though we didn't have much time together, he was still a significant impact on my life. Forever grateful.

Don never said an unkind word to me or anyone. He always welcomed people with a smile and something nice to say. He is sorely missed.

What an amazing soul. One of the truly kindest people I have ever met. I will personally miss him greatly, as many others will too. Condolences to his family. Miss you Don...

I can't say I knew Don for a long time, or extremely well, but I do know that he was a caring, trusting (and trustworthy) man whose absence will make the area a lesser place. I'll miss you, Don.

Don was a friend to me and almost all the people he encountered. He always had a smile and a warm thought. He gave to his friends and our community in so many ways. The community and I will miss him so very much. My prayers are with him and his immediate family and his very large extended family.

I haven't seen Don since summers between college. He was much more than a high school classmate. He was a treasure. What a grin. I still remember pranks we played on each other. I'm very saddened that he is gone. I know he made many, many people smile in his lifetime and will be sorely missed.

Don will continue to live in our hearts as a man who inspired his loved ones, friends, and others by his strength, fortitude, and good humor throughout his life and his arduous journey with cancer. My sincere condolences are extended to his family and his many, many friends.

Don will be remembered as a very special person. He was loyal, charming and tenacious. He lived life to the fullest and is an example to all of us. He was honest and forthright and generous to a fault. We sadly mourn his loss with all his family and friends and send sincere condolences.

I am truly sorry for the loss of Don. I feel like I was very blessed to have met him the few times that I did and I am so grateful that my daughter was able to have met him and spend some time with him in the last couple years. To all his close friends and family, my deepest sympathy and you are all in my prayers.
