Lon Bruce Rubin

Lon Bruce Rubin, 75, of Rancho Mirage, CA passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2008 of Parkinson's Disease. He was born April 23, 1933, to William and Rhoda Rubin in Pennsylvania. He married Barbara Hankin in June 1954 in Baltimore, MD. He was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated with Honors from George Washington University Law School. He was a Real Estate Developer for 40 years. He is survived by his loving partner of 20 years, Rod Edmondson of Rancho Mirage, CA; his daughters, Wendy Rubin-Fitzgerald, Lisa G. Rubin-Dvorkin and his son, William Rubin, all of Baltimore, MD; his sister, Eileen Glick of Norfolk, VA; his brother, Frank Rubin of Lighthouse Pt., FL; and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Temple Isaiah, 332 W. Alejo Rd., Palm Springs, CA. The family suggests donations be made to Desert Aids Project or to Parkinson's Disease Resource Center.
