Dear Uncle Leon and all the cousins, I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife and mother. Like Mary Ann I have happy memories of time spent with her and the family when we lived in Indio. She was kind, sensitive and funny as all get out. Although we live far apart her her presence is strong in my memory. We were all blessed to know her even a little bit.

June 23, 2009

Dear Shelly, Joe and Katie,
We are sorry for the loss of your Mother and Grandmother. When she spoke of her family she was always so proud of all of you, and she was not shy about it. The last time I spoke to her she told me how proud she was of the mother and wife that Katie had become. We will keep you in our prayers. Please give your Dad a hug from us.

Dear Uncle Leon and family,
I sent a card to the Miles street address, then found the Monterey street address in a later email. Please accept my sincere condolences for the passing of Aunt Rosie. She was a very special person and I will always remember her kindness to me when I was a child in Indio. The high points in my life there were when I could spend some time with Aunt Rosie. My family and I grieve along with you in your loss.

Although I had not seen Aunt Rosie in about 10 years, I cant help but remember her sense of humor and smile. I was so huge, being pregnant with my daughter, and she used to ask when are they going to take that tumor out? And then give me that sweet little grin. She was a hoot I only wish I would have taken the time to see her more. My thoughts and prayers are with her family as I know how hard it is to lose your mom. God Bless you all.

Dear Leon, dudley, Mary, Shelly, and Joanie,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Vibrant, Jubilant, and energetic are the adjectives that come to mind when I think of Rosie. What an outstanding person and tremendous role model she was for all of us who knew her. I loved being around Rosie. I was touched by her personality, her smile, her laughter, and the incredible energy she possessed - unlike anyone else I've ever known. What a joy to have known her. Dear Mary Alice and Swenson family,
Our hearts go out to you all during this time of loss. Mrs. Swenson was known to the Sun Gold kids as the mom with a quick smile and a swift broom (I still can see her sweeping the front porch and sidewalk). She spent her time on earth focused on her family, her church her community and making the lives of others a little more special. It isn't often that we meet people that are as respected and loved as Rosie Swenson. God's blessings to you all.

Dear Leon and your wonderful family. My sympathy and prayers are extended to everyone in the loss of dear Rosie. She had a marvelous personality and was always smiling and had a happy greeting to everyone she met. For many years she shared her talents of playing the piano for the residents of Mul-Care Convalescent, where I was employed. She also brought the Catholic ladies in to help with the communion services. The residents, as well as the staff, loved Rosie. She is at peace in heaven now. We all have cherished memories of Rosie. She will be greatly missed by the many friends and families whose life she touched. May God's Blessings be with you.
