Stella Amundson Obituary

Stella Ann Amundson, 44, of Cathedral City died at Desert Regional Medical Center on October 17, 2008. She was born December 4, 1963, to Eugene William Payne, Sr. and Sophia Soha Payne in Anchorage, AK. She married David Duane Amundson on November 25, 1990 in Dutch Harbor, AK. She is Catholic. Mrs. Amundson worked for eight years as a Banker for Alaska State Bank and Wells Fargo Bank. Upon moving to the Coachella Valley in 1997 she worked with her husband investing in Real Estate. She also volunteered at the schools her children attended. She is survived by her husband, David Amundson of Cathedral City; her daughters, Elaina Amundson and Maria Amundson, both of Cathedral City; her brothers, Eugene Payne and John Payne, both of Anchorage; her sisters, Elizabeth Zim of Bayboro, NC, Mary Brown of Texas, Joanne Payne and Andrea Payne, both of Anchorage; her father, Eugene Payne, and her mother, Sophia Payne, both of Anchorage. A memorial service will be held in the Rose Chapel at Rose Mortuary in Desert Hot Springs at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2008. Private interment is under the direction of Rose Mortuary.

To the Payne Family and Stella's immediate family:
I truly am sorry for your loss; Stella was a neighbor; friend, and I have to say a real survivor. I am sorry I cannot see her now after all these years; my heart goes out to her family; I am so sorry. God Bless.
