Taina Hollinger Obituary
Taina Susanne Hollinger, 63, of Palm Springs, Ca. passed away peacefully at home September 21, 2017. After 35 years she succumbed to the ravages of cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kirsten Holm and Paul Holm and survived by her husband Andy Hollinger, half sister Lis Peterson, sister Anna Holm Brown and brother Lars Holm, niece Nikole Holm, nephews Mikael Holm and Erik Brown. She graduated from Palm Springs High School in 1972 and graduated from College of the Desert in 1974. She worked at the Palm Springs Racquet Club, Combs Gate Aviation, Mission Hills Country Club and The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. She married the love of her life Andy Hollinger in 1992 and lived in Palm Springs, Ca. and Ketchum, Idaho. She loved hiking, biking, camping, river rafting and golf. She was a beautiful, kind and loving person. She enjoyed having friends and relatives share holiday feasts in Andreas Canyon and White Water Preserve. Her happy disposition and friendly smile was loved by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and will always be remembered for her optimism and love for adventure. Idaho just won't be the same without the other Mrs. Hollinger there. I will miss going to garage sales with you early Saturday mornings, sitting on the patio together, our outdoor dinner parties and BBQs, late night bowls of ice cream, playing Mahjong at Sun Valley Inn, and so much more. Mostly I will miss how we enjoyed and got a kick out of the Hollinger boys. No one else will share our history with them as wives. Oh Taina, what will I do without you?

Taina was such a beautiful person inside and out. I worked with Taina at Joseph Magnin when we were very young. She was so lovely. I am so sorry for your loss Andy, and that she suffered with such a horrible disease. My deepest condolences.

I am devastated to hear the news of Taina's passing. I first met Taina when she worked at Mission Hills Country Club so many decades ago. She was always so sweet to me. I've worked with her brother Lars for 12 years and Andy was one of my dad's best friends. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. What a great best friend.
I will miss her as I would a sister with all the shared memories of our childhood and families. The last 18 years were spent being connected as girlfriends doing the every day things. She loved to play golf and she kicked my behind hiking.
