Elizabeth Taylor Obituary

December 14, 1954 - May 13, 2008

Elizabeth Taylor, 53, of Hearne, passed away May 13, 2008 at her home with her family by her side. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 East 26th Street in Bryan, with Reverend Monsignor John A. McCaffrey officiating. Burial will follow the mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan. Visitation will be held 5 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008 with a Rosary to be recied at 6:30 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home.

Liz was born in The Bronx, New York to Andrew and Elizabeth LaCour December 14, 1954. She had five brothers, all of whom are still living.

Mrs. Taylor graduated from Katherine Gibbs Business College in Manhattan and attended Texas A&M University, becoming a diehard Aggie fan during the 30 years she lived in Texas. She was always a New Yorker at heart.

Liz was very passionate in everything she did, whether it was caring for her family or advocating liberal politics. Mrs. Taylor has been a long time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she made numerous friends.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Robert Taylor of Hearne (it was both an arranged and a mixed marriage); sons, Sean Taylor and wife, Katie of Bryan, Ryan Taylor of College Station, Kyle Taylor of Hearne, and Cody Taylor of Hearne; grandson, Aidan Taylor of Bryan; mother: Elizabeth LaCour of Toms River, New Jersey; brothers: Andy LaCour and wife, Pat of Ariz; Bob LaCour and wife, Lois of N.C.; Dennis LaCour and wife, Marge of Fla; Kevin LaCour and wife, Lynn of N.J.; Greg LaCour and wife, Genene of M.D; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School or Hospice Brazos Valley.
