Geneva Pacely Obituary

August 2, 1934 – August 13, 2007

Geneva Paceley, 73, of Milano died Monday, August 13, 2007 at her home near Milano. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale, with Minister Gene VanNoord of the Cameron Church of Christ officiating. Burial followed in the Hurt Cemetery near Milano.

She was born to James "Bud" and Alvenia (Carr) Hurt on August 2, 1934 in Milano and was a lifelong resident. She and Clyde "Pee Wee" Pacely were married on August 18, 1951 in Milano. She worked for the Milano I.S.D. for over 40 years, as an aid, tax assessor collector, business manager and later as secretary to the Superintendant. She was the scorekeeper for the Milano I.S.D. games, volunteered for many school activities, was a coach, manager and team mom. She was a member of the Sandy Creek Church of Christ.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband on April 16, 1990, Pee Wee Paceley, and her parents.

Survivors include her sons, James Paceley of Freer, Fred Paceley and wife, Cookie, of Donie, and Jerry Paceley and wife, Whitney, of Franklin; sisters, Louise Moore and husband, Donald, of San Antonio, Dalpha Garrison of Milano, Ann Moore and husband, Bruce, of San Antonio and Margie Lopez and husband, Charles, of Dew; brother, George Hurt of Milano; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
