Jerrell Dean Teltow
September 25, 1937 - December 20, 2021
Jerrell Dean Teltow, 84, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021. He was born September 25, 1937 in Logan County, Arkansas to Mary Ola and Arthur Emil Teltow. After graduation he attended business school in Austin, TX. Jerrell met Dorlene Houy of Fredericksburg, TX; where she also was attending business school. They married in 1959 and had three daughters.
He was in the National Guard for 9 years where he was based in Ft. Polk Louisiana holding the title of Sargent. Jerrell spent his career in freight management for 30 plus years with Central Freight Lines. He started out as a rate clerk in Waco, where he later was promoted several times throughout his career, and retired as the Eastern Division Supervisor.
Jerrell was a member of the Masonic Lodge with the Karem Temple in Waco, where he received his 50 year certificate. In 1975 he became a Shriner, and will always be remembered for driving his green and yellow car, as a Lizzyteer, in parades. Jerrell became a member of the Noon Lions Club in 1980 in Bryan.
In November 1993, Jerrell married his wife Patsy Jane Lackey Heine of San Saba. He welcomed her four children and grandchildren into his heart. Jerrell and Patsy lived in Austin, Arkansas, Salado, and retired in Burnet, TX. Together they shared their dog, Shiba and their love for travel. While Patsy went for the fine food, culture, and sites; Jerrell went for the history, architecture, and people. They often ate at the Bluebonnet Café in Marble Falls and were active members of the First United Methodist Church in Burnet. When his beloved wife Patsy passed, December 31, 2016, the people in Burnet became his rock.
Father. Grandfather. Friend. Shriner. Neighbor. Family Historian. However you consider him, we all knew him as the same; The Man with the Biggest Smile and the Friendliest Face.
Jerrell is preceded in death by his wife Patsy, his mother, his father, and his brothers; Glenn, Bill, Alfred, and Albert; and his sister; Geniva DeVazier
Jerrell is survived by his daughters, Sandy Conner and husband Rick Conner, Connie Eckhardt and husband Bernie Nelson, Karen Peterson and husband Craig Peterson; step-children, Jerry Heine and wife Elizabeth Heine, Alan Heine and wife Catherine Heine, Adrienne Marshall, and Bobby Heine; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Johnny Teltow and wife Sheryl Teltow, Norman Teltow; and brother-in-law, Dave DeVazier.
