Maurice Milliken Obituary

September 21, 1951 - March 24, 2015

Maurice "Morie" Milliken was born in Akron, Ohio on September 21, 1951. He returned to the Lord on March 24, 2015. Morie is the youngest of four siblings. He grew up in State College, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Bowie High School in Bowie, Maryland. Morie attended the University of Houston.

His parents, Susan Ella (Warner) and Maurice P. Milliken preceded him in death. Maurice is survived by his sister, Lyn Griffin and husband Richard and their two sons Matthew and Joel; his sister Susan Allen and husband Roland and their son Ethan; and his brother David Milliken and wife Clare and their two daughters Megan and Kelly.

Maurice was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

He lived at Magnified Health and Rehab Center in College Station where he had many friends. Two of Morie's great loves were family and music. At holiday times he was always happiest to be gathered together with family. Among his family, his Christmas gifts were especially well loved.

He loved playing the guitar which he taught to his nephews. Morie will be missed; his gentle spirit was appreciated by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Sat. April 11, 2015 at Covenant Presbyterian Church.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to Covenant Presbyterian Church, College Station, Texas.
