Bryan Dove Obituary

EASLEY — Mr. Lee Bryan Dove, 68, of Easley, loving husband of Susan W. Dove, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Bryan was born in Dillon County, S.C., on October 29, 1947 to the late Leo Elliott and Dorothy Hubbard Dove. He loved his family, had a huge heart, was a friend to everyone, and he never met a stranger. His life will truly be remembered by the words of Jesus in John 11:4: "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it."

Bryan was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley and was a great witness and leader for Christ. He taught Sunday School, was involved in the Men's prayer group, the cancer group, was a deacon, and he was over the prayer room.

In addition to his loving wife, Bryan is survived by four sons, Jason Dove (Christie) of Anderson; Jarrett Dove (Cindy) of Pendleton; Robert Dove (Myra) of Maryland; and Bradley Dove of Easley; and a daughter; Janet Taylor (Rick) of Belton. Bryan is also survived by two brothers, Larry Dove (Gaby), and David Dove (Sindy) of Darlington, S.C.; a sister; Diane Lee (Dexter) of Florence; and nine grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Carroll and Mary Ann Dove.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, with the Rev. Dr. David Gallamore and the Rev. Richard Littleton officiating. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery.

The family received friends on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.

The family is at the residence.

Flowers are optional, or the family requests that memorial donations be made to either the Rock Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642; or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
