A private gravesite service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.Gary was born June 15, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was the son of the late Richard and Ida Mae (Peterson) Rathje. Gary worked several years in the family business of Rathje Construction. Later on, Gary started his own business, Home Helpers. His hobbies included woodworking; being a skilled craftsman.
