I've never met Mike, but after reading some of the great tributes, I wish I did. Julie, I am some generations older than you (cousin), and our paths never met. i was 17 when I "left the nest" so it just never happened. We also spent some time in Japan (4 1/2 years 1970-74) and we also found it amazing. May Mike rest in peace and watch over you.

I send my sincere sympathy to Julie and the Ironside family. It was an honor to know Mike and play music with him. He was a great musician, a big heart and always, a big smile. May peace be with the family.

I would like to extend my sympathy to the Ironsides family. I had a picture of Mike on my office wall for many years. He was one of the great ones.
