Thomas Bausch Obituary

Thomas William Bausch, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025. He has requested cremation without services. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services is caring for the family. He was born June 9, 1946, to Richard and Alice (McCollister) Bausch in Detroit, Michigan. His childhood was spent in Cedar Rapids, graduating from Washington High School in 1964. Tom then furthered his education attending Wisconsin State University, graduating in 1969 with a major in psychology-sociology. Tom enlisted, proudly serving as a member of the United States Naval Security Group Command located in Washington, D.C. from 1969-1973. He married Jean Willman on August 17, 1968, at Edgewood, Iowa. To this union one son, Brandon, was born. Tom and his wife have resided in the Marion area since 1973. Most of his working years were in sales and management. He will be remembered by his buddies as a whiz at playing cards and games, winning most of the time at their regular get togethers. Tom also was a very talented individual with his computer. He was always willing to help out with his handyman skills when needed. Surviving to mourn this great loss is his wife, Jean; son Brandon (Joyce); grandchild, Evan; twin brother, Robert; brother-in-law; and nieces and nephews. Preceding him were his parents; sister, Barb; parents-in-law, Ivanelle and Ed; grandparents; and sister-in-law, Lila.
