Deborah Scheible Obituary

Deborah Ann Scheible
(nee Rutkowski)
Deborah Ann Scheible, passed away peacefully at the age of 68, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Lightways Hospice, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Joliet, IL, on April 24, 1956, the daughter of the late John Earl and Angeline Helen (nee Benac) Rutkowski. Deborah grew up in Lemont and was a graduate of Lemont High School. While working at Cog Hill Golf Course in 1973, she met the love of her life, Richard Scheible. They married in 1977 and spent the last 47 years building a beautiful home and life together while raising their family.
Deborah took care of those she loved and was known as the heart and soul of her family. She enjoyed being a wife and a mother and always let her children know how important they were to her. She spent several years as a room mother in their classrooms, made numerous costumes from scratch for them to wear, and always enjoyed baking cakes for any and all events. Deborah loved being outside in the yard making sure that her flowers and landscaping was always tended to. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard Edward Scheible; three children, Nicholas (Angie Johnson) Scheible, Christopher (Natalie) Scheible, and Stephanie (Scott Rodeghero) Scheible; seven grandchildren, Amber, Nathaniel, Franklin, Clarabelle, Priscilla, Alfred, and Eleanor Scheible; sister, Susan (Rich) Beavers; sisters-in-law, Susan (Michael) Wellman, and Michelle (Jerry) Semplinski; and her nieces, and nephews, Kegan and Garret Beavers, Deanna Roman, and Rachael Augustyniak. Deborah is also survived by her devoted family pets, "Riley", Rosey", "Lola" and "Toby".
She is preceded by her parents; her father-in-law, Richard Dean Scheible; and her mother-in-law and step-father, Ruth Marie and Franklin John Michael; and her sister-in-law, Dawn Marie Michael.
A Memorial Gathering for Deborah A. Scheible will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded.
