Don Wright, age 62, of Custer Park, IL, passed away suddenly, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his home.
Born January 6, 1955 in Paragould, AR to the late Richard and Pauline (nee Nunnally) Wright. Don retired from Stepan Chemical in Elwood. He enjoyed his grandkids, camping, golf, softball, playing cards with friends, going to his girls softball games, and a good tuxedo t-shirt.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen (nee Zegers), whom he married February 15, 1975 in Joliet, IL; four daughters, Michelle (Rodney) Allott of Diamond, IL, Jenny (Rich) Allen of South Wilmington, IL, Andrea (Jay) Votta of Braidwood, and Heather Wright of Reston, VA; one son, Matt (Danica) Wright of Anchorage, AK; fifteen grandchildren, Trent (Amanda) Hamilton, Braeden Hamilton, Grace Allott, Lilly Allott, Henry Allott, Ethan Gubbins, Tyler Gubbins, David Allen, Aiden Saffel, Jack Wright, Izzy Wright, Genavieve Couch-Votta, Claire Votta, Aubrie Votta, and Bennett Wright; one great grandchild, Hadley Hamilton, on the way; three sisters, Barbara (Bernie) Bazik of Creal Springs, IL, Linda Mullen of Wilmington, IL, and Carol Howell of Wynne, AR; three brothers, Jerry (Louise) Wright of AR, Paul (Donna) Johnson of Walland, TN, and Bill (Sue) Wright of Boynton Beach, FL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vernon and Adeline Zegers of Custer Park; David (Cheryl) Zegers, Paul (Phyllis) Zegers, Karen (Terry) Platt, Mike Hamilton, Candy Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were four brothers, Teddy Wright, Norman Wright, Tony Wright, and Wayne Wright.
Visitation will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 with funeral services at 6:00 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following services. Inurnment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in his name may be directed to the donor choice.

To the Wright Family I'm sorry to hear of Don's passing. I work with Don at Stepan for many years, he was a great guy to work and be around. He will truly be missed. Again my condolences to the Wright Family.

To the Wright Family sorry for your loss Don was a great guy and a good friend I work with Don at Stepan for a long time and play lots of softball with him back in the 80s he will be missed Rest In Peace
