Joseph Lee Husler born January 7th, 1935 in Chillicothe, Missouri to John and Lily (nee Bower) Husler passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24th, 2025 at age 90.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (nee McKee) Husler; his children from previous marriage Cynthia Mae (Husler) Holbrook, Joseph Lee Husler Jr., John Frederick Husler, Sherri (Ann Husler) Husler Cone, Valerie Jean (Husler) Hudgens; his adopted sons Mark Husler and Michael Martin Husler; his grandchildren Stephanie Ann (Holbrook) LeClair, Thomas Holbrook, Abigail Husler, Maximillion Husler, Alexandra Husler, Veronica B Carlson, Racheal Lee Cox, Hedy Isabella Lerado, Grace Lynn Hudgens; his great grandchildren Linus Leclair, Leo Husler, Sawyer David Cox, Wyatt Woodrow Cox and also by his sister Carol Ann (Husler) Parker.
Joe Husler was founder and former owner of Plattville Coatings, incorporated in 1976. Joseph was one of the oldest members of the Roofers and Water proofers Union (member of 57 years). Prior to roofing he worked for SantaFe Railroad and member for over 60 years to the railroad union. Prior to the railroad he worked as a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch and before that Joe was in the US Army Reserve.
Later in his life he was a dedicated hobby farmer to a variety of many exotic animals and birds such as mules, llamas, Rhea, African ostriches as well as growing large gardens.
Joe Husler was preceded in death by his parents John and Lily Husler and his brothers James and Robert Husler.
