Dear Pam, Brother Pat and family. Sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I became acquainted with Joe on the job before I retired from the Stamford PD in 2001. We later became reacquainted at Bill's Drive-in in Monroe, at cruise nights for several years until I moved out of Connecticut in 2020. Always found great conversation with Joe and will certainly miss him. Praying for Joe and from you all, as you mourn your loss.

My heartfelt condolences to Joe's family! We attended Saint Joseph's together. Joe and I had planned on joining the Marine Corps together ( On the Buddy Plan) and then apply to the State Police. My parents couldn't afford Central Catholic High. I went Brien McMahon. Joe became a State Trooper and I became a firefighter. Rest in Peace my friend!. Joe I can still remember the smell of italian cooking from Ely Avenue.

I remember Joe snd his family from Ely Avenue in Norwalk. We lived right down the road from them. My Dad was Deputy Fire Marshal in Norwalk in the 80's and for many years was a member of the Norwalk Special Police.
May he rest in peace

I'm very sad to hear about Joe passing away. I met him in the mid 1970s who were both starting our career with the Connecticut State Police as auxiliary troopers and we worked together many times. He was a very good friend. May he rest in peace

I met Joe at work, and he always made me laugh. We were both from Sicily and I enjoyed speaking to him in Italian, and sharing recipes.

Sending my deepest heartfelt sympathy to Cathy and family in the passing of Joe. I grew up with Joe and his family on Ely Avenue. He was a like family always visiting the Gas station and bodyshop. My brother's Frank and JohnDavid would always talk shop and cars. Always pleasant to talk too and that smile of his! He's now with both my brothers on a new journey.

As a member of the Connecticut State Police, I first met Joe, when newly assigned, to Troop, G in the summer of 1984. We worked together for more than a few years. I found Joe to always to be fun and upbeat and he would always refer to me as "Giuseppe". Fluent in Spanish, Joe was an asset to the barracks and used his talent as an interpreter. I don't think Joe ever hand wrote a report, statement or form, as he could type with the best of them. Tickets? That was another issue! I was so jealous. I had to do everything twice. Due to promotions and transfers, we went on the different units and assignments. Although we didn't see each other often professionally, we would get together at car shows, cruise nights and swap meets. I too am a "car guy", but I couldn't hold a candle to Joe and his passion for cars. He truly loved all things with wheels and it showed. So many memories... One thing I'll never forget and it's not a big thing, but I'll never will forget how Joe hated mayo on his turkey club sandwiches... That, I learned the hard way!!! Joe is now travelling upon the level of time to that undiscovered country from whose borne no traveler returns. God bless you, Joe... You'll not be forgotten...

I have known Joey for many years. We both were family with the Muoio family In Darien and Norwalk. Joe was always careful to watch what he ate and would always help those who struggled. Joe was passionate about his cars and had the best. I am so very sad and will always cherish our good times together. See you on the other side.
