Margaret Jervis Goodrich

Margaret Jervis Goodrich, of Weston, beloved wife of John B. Goodrich, passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Carolton Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield. Born in Statesville, NC she had been a Weston resident since 1964.

She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina, was employed as a school teacher and delighted in her role as homemaker. Mrs. Goodrich was instrumental in organizing the Women''s Club of Weston and also served as President. She was a member of the Norfield Church in Weston and most recently was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Fairfield.

Survivors in addition to her husband John include three children: Robert Lea Jervis, Jr. and spouse Michelle of Charlton, MA, Craig M. Jervis and spouse Marsha of Nashville, TN and Leslie Jervis Waters and spouse Lindsay of Jacksonville, FL; two step children, Tucker Goodrich of Weston and Amie Goodrich of San Francisco, CA; a granddaughter, Courtney Fletcher of Costa Rica. She was predeceased by a sister, Doris.

A funeral service will be held Monday, October 3, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Baptist Church, 300 North Benson Road, Fairfield with the Rev. David DeVries officiating. Interment will be in Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport. Friends may greet the family Sunday from 2-5 P.M. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
