LAKELAND - Everett C. Holcomb, 86, of Lakeland, died Friday May 25, 2007 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of heart failure.
He was born April 15, 1921 in Alice, OH to Ira and Ruth (Franklin) Holcomb and moved here in 1979 from Logan, OH. Everett was a WW II Navy Veteran and retired from Sun Glow Furniture Co. in Logan with over fifteen years of employment. He also worked for many years repairing radio and televisions.
Everett is preceded in death by his wife, Alice, three brothers, Ruben, Robert and Raymond, a sister, Madeline Green and a great granddaughter. He is survived by his sons, Curtis of Lakeland, Terry of Hot Springs, SD and Dale of Smithfield, OH; a daughter, Jeanne Stewart of Waverly, OH; a brother, Frank of Logan, OH; sisters, Laura Ritter of Columbus, OH and Reva Primer of Logan, OH; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 9-11am Tuesday at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes, Dukes-Steen Chapel, Lakeland where funeral services will be held at 11am. Interment will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery.
