LAKELAND - Mr. John Wesley Corbin, Jr., 63, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2007 from complications of pneumonia.
Born on March 20, 1944, he moved to Lakeland from St. Louis, MO in 1980. He was the owner of Sharpline Air, a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, and an avid golfer.
Mr. Corbin was predeceased by his mother, Helen Marie Watkins Corbin and his brother, Steve Corbin. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Corbin of Lakeland; sons, John Wesley Corbin, III of South Haven, MI, Greg O. Corbin of Lakeland, Daniel P. Corbin of Valrico; daughters, Amy C. Kent of AK, Donna Corbin of Kalamazoo, MI, Kathy Moore of Acworth, GA, and Cindy Cangelose of Lakeland; father, John Wesley Corbin, Sr. of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Cheryl Morrow of Lakeland, Debbie Talcou of St. Louis, MO, Pat Coffman of Eugene, OR; brother, Michael Corbin of St. Louis, MO; 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and numerous aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Children's Hospital, 801 6th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. Family will receive friends on Monday, November 19, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Lakeland Funeral Home. Service will be on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 1:00 PM with in interment to follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
