John Hellander Obituary
John Hellander of Lakeland died peacefully June 25, 2010 from complications of Crohn's disease.
John was born January 20, 1956 in Glen Cove, NY, the second son of Arthur and the late Ruth Hellander. He grew up in Westfield, NJ where he graduated from Westfield Senior High School with the class of 1974. He attended Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Ceramic Engineering in 1979. John founded C&M Technologies through which he developed and distributed specialized thermal ceramic coatings. He published many scientific articles on the subject and was recognized worldwide as an expert in the field.
He will be missed tremendously by his brothers and sisters, Robert, James, Jean, Mary, and Richard as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be announced. Condolences may be sent to the family atwww.heathfuneralchapel.com.
