WRIGHT, 63
BARTOW - Judge Karla Foreman Wright, age 63, of Bartow, FL, died Monday, October 1, 2012, at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, FL, due to heart failure.
She is a Judge in the 10th Judicial Circuit of Polk County. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Bartow, FL.
She was the daughter of Charles Foreman and Nancy Foreman of Orlando, FL.
She is survived by two sons: Ameer (Shani) A. Wright, M.D., Ormond Beach, FL, Jahik (Kemba) Wright, Orlando, FL, two nephews: Damien A. (Melissa) Moses, Bartow, FL, Kahlil V. (Sandra) Moses, D.C., West Palm Beach, FL, six grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Gause Funeral Home, 625 S. Holland Parkway, Bartow, FL. Memorial service will be at First Baptist Church 410 E. Church St. of Bartow at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 6, 2012.

Dear Jahid and Ameer,
I had the pleasur of meeting your family when you lived in Evanston, Il. I can recall how proud your mom looked when she graduated from law school in 1983. She and your father shared laughter about my old Gremlin that could never make it to end of the block :) I lost touch with Karla but I know in my heart she went on to accomplish many great things. I am blessed to have known your mother and rest assure she is resting in Jesus arms!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Aunt Karla (as I fondly called her) years ago when I dated her nephew She was a fine lady and I loved her dearly. My condolences to the family. May the joy of The Lord be your strength during your time of loss.

I did not know your Mom personally but through the court system I had interactions with her. She showed more compassion, reasoning and understanding than I have ever witnessed ina court of law. I am proud to say that I became a better person after witnessing her actions. She was a blessing to me that day. I will always remember her.

Having spent many years working as a legal assistant in the Tenth Judicial Circuit, it was doubly easy to address her as the Honorable Karla Foreman Wright, for she was an honorable woman indeed. But, she was also known to be fair and judicious, rendering judgments without being judgmental of others. She paved many ways for all women, and we will miss this lady of excellence. She's just gone on Home.

Rest in peace, Judge Karla Wright. I know the obituary said she passed from heart failure, but I would truly have to believe it was due to a broken heart over the loss of her spouse this year!
To the family, I am very sorry for the double loss you have been dealt this year. I'm sure they are together in Heaven rejoicing once more! Remember the good times and the memories will help soften the loss.

Dear Wright Family,
How saddened I am at the passing of my dear friend, Karla. I first met her when she was an Assistant County Attorney and she was wonderful to work with. Always positive with a fine legal mind, she always worked toward solutions. When she became a judge, I was happy and proud of the milestones she had acheived. Even when she ruled against me, I never had a bad day practicing in front of her. She was a warm and wonderful person and she will be missed. God bless her and your family.
