Though I never got to meet him, I wish I had before he passed. I would have liked to know my Uncle Kermit, he seemed like an interesting man.

Got to meet Kermit Work in 1985. His son John & myself were stationed at old Bergstrom AFB, Texas. Also know Kermit's old AF buddy Colonel Richard Dick Haskett.

Kermit was my OIC, in Wiesbaden. (Mainz-Kastel, 1980 to 1984) He was a Captain, and I was there when he pinned on Major. He was the best officer I ever worked for, barring none.

I worked with Kermit at K.I. Sawyer AFB, Michigan from 1977 - 1979. Wonderful officer and person. I only recently heard about his passing. I posted a photo of him with my oldest child from 1979. My condolences.

Maj Work was the best. Him and Sue invited me and Christine over many times. They helped us transition into the military life in Berlin. Great people!

I worked for Kermit in Berlin while I was there from 1985-1988. I respected him greatly and he gave me my shot at being Chief, Air Traffic Control Radar Operations (Crew Chief). I remember several neat things but one that really sticks out is Kermit going through St Louis newspapers and planning which plots of land he was going to buy in East St Louis. He was always kind and professional to me and the folks that worked for me. I shall always respect him as a man and officer. I shall always remember him fondly, thankful that I got to know him just a little bit. Rest easy my friend, hope to see you one day at the big Berlin in the sky.

I knew Kermit when I was in Berlin the first time 72-78. He was a great person and a very good racketball player. His arms were so long you couldn't get the ball passed him. A true friend he will be missed.
