RUSKIN - Mindy Nicole Perry Jay, 34, died August 25, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to a short bout with cancer.
Mrs. Jay was born in Lakeland on May 18, 1978. She was a member of Bridge of Hope Church and the focus of her life was her children, family and church.
She is survived by her
husband Tim Jay; son Ian Jay; daughter Isabella Jay;
parents Michael and Robin Perry, Mulberry; sister Mikayla Perry, Louisiana; step sons
Andrew Jay and Matthew
Jay, St. Petersburg; father
and mother in law LeRoy
and Catherine Jay, St.
Petersburg; and many
other loving family members.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 5:00 pm
at Bridge of Hope Church
with a visitation from 4-5 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge of Hope Church, 2025 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801.

I never got the honor of meeting Mindy but her and my father in law were in the hospital at the same time in the TICU unit and we spent many hours and days with her family while in the waiting room and It truly breaks my heart hearing the news that Mindy had passed away. But just remembering the different stories that were told while we were all waiting together about how Mindy was such a kind hearted person and some of the things that she would do for others seemed to help ease my sadness after hearing about Mindy because someone with that big of a heart I just know she is smiling and skipping down heavens streets. Tim, Ian, Isabella, Perry Family, and Jay Family,
Mindy was such a bright light in our lives and we are so much better off for having known and loved her. I thank the Lord that I was able to call her colleague, my "work daughter," and friend!

God truly BLESSED my life when you walked through the doors @ Bridge of Hope! We bonded immediately over lunch @ Chick-Fil-A and from that moment we knew we had FABULOUS things ahead!! My heart is broken and I miss you so much!! But we will meet again...save my spot in the Heavenly Choir!! <3
