Nancy Dixon Maley

NANCY DIXON MALEY, 67 Sky Valley Restaurant LAKELAND - Nancy Dixon Maley died surrounded by family, Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Palm Terrace of Lakeland under the loving care of Mickey Cannon with Good Shepherd Hospice. She succumbed after a year long battle with cancer. Nancy was 67. Nancy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. After retirement as co-manager of the Sky Galley Restaurant she moved to Lakeland with her family. She graduated high school from Ursuline Academy, completed her college education at Edgecliff College and the University of Cincinnati where she received her degree in elementary education. Nancy was a tireless volunteer sharing her love of education. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Alice Dixon, sister, Patricia Dixon Walsh, and husband, Richard Thomas Maley, Sr. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Heather MacMillan of Lakeland, a son, Richard Thomas Maley Jr. of Seattle, Washington, her son-in-law, Jeffrey MacMillan and her beloved grandchildren, Lauren, John, Patrick, Kelly, and Sean, all of Lakeland. A memorial service will be Saturday, March 3 at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church (chapel) at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory may be made to Santa Fe Catholic High School Athletic Booster's.
