RAYNELL SIMMONS DAVIS, 73

PLANT CITY - RayNell Simmons Davis, 73, of Plant City, went to be with the Lord on Wed. July 29, 2009 due to a stroke.
She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was loved by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Leona Simmons, and her siblings Lacy Simmons, Theron Simmons, and Carolyn McNair. She is survived by her husband of 53 yrs Clayton Davis; her son Neville Clayton Davis, Jr. and his wife Melisa Diann; her grandchildren Kristina Diann Davis and Kaitland Ashley Davis; her siblings Buford Simmons and his wife Jean, and Mary Davis and her husband Charles; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 SR 39 S, Plant City on Fri. July 31 from 6-8:00 P.M. Services at the Hopewell Funeral Home Chapel on Sat. Aug. 1 at 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lifepath Hospice, 12973 Telecom Park-way Suite 100, Temple Terrace, FL 33637 and/or South Florida Baptist Hospital Foundation, 301 N. Alexander Street, Plant City, FL 33563. The family appreciates the care and concern shown by her doctor Greg Gut-owski, and the Aqua Team of Lifepath Hospice. Visit

What a wonderful woman!!!!!
She was a great lady in every sense of the term. I can't wait to see her again and hug her neck. Sorry I missed the service. I didn't know until today 8/20. May God comfort the family. I loved her dearly.......
