Deloris Snyder Obituary
She was born in Sonora to Eugene "Akers" and Lucille Conder Hornback and worked in childcare. She was a lifetime member of Valley Christian Church while attending Sonora United Methodist Church for the last 20+ years. In their younger years, she and W.T. loved square dancing together at Dixie Sounds. Deloris always was improving her garden and yard but one of her most time consuming hobbies was being at any and all events she could for her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William "W.T." Thomas Snyder; and a nephew, Tommy Houk.
Survivors include her loving sister, Norma (David) Alvey of Upton; a brother, Butch (Martha) Hornback of Cecilia; nine nieces and nephews, Cheryl (Steve) Pile, Bryan (Patty) Hornback, Mike (Monica) Alvey, Eric (Brandy) Alvey, Theresa (Todd) Travis, Lisa Jennings, Roger (Kathleen) Miller, Debbie (Kevin Clay) Fisher and Jeff (Debbie) Miller; 25 great-nieces and great-nephews, 19 great-great- nieces and great-great-nephews; and a brother-in-law, Harold Miller.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora with the Rev. Paul Frederick officiating. Burial follows in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and continues from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
