Donald Knight Obituary
He was born June 25, 1937, to Joseph and Daisy Jenkins Knight.
He was saved at the age of 13 in a field outside of Upton.
He was an ordained minister and a faithful member of Falling Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. He enjoyed going to church and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, J.T. Knight, Johnnie Knight and Roger Knight; and two sisters, Golda Miniard and Lavonna Huddleston.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Beverly Carby Knight; his seven children, Cheryl (Rickey) Hardy, Cindy (Jimmy) Hendren, Bonita (Darrell) Hendren, Danny (Lori) Knight, Phillip (Benita) Knight, Beth (Chris) Ross and Ryan (Joy) Knight; his nine grandchildren, April Hendren, Heather Hendren, Robin Miller, Andy Ross, Emily Knight, Riley Knight, Holly Knight, Keara Knight and Brooklyn Knight; his four great-grandchildren, Layla, Landon, Reagan and Gideon; his brother, Burton (Edna) Knight; three sisters, Patsy Mahoney, Betty (James) Sheroan and Shirley Ogden; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. CDT Friday, Aug. 22, at Falling Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Bonnieville with Brother Jason Dickie and Brother Mikie Clemons officiating. Burial follows in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Upton.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. CDT Thursday and continues from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CDT Friday at Sego Funeral Home in Munfordville.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Falling Springs Baptist Church building fund, which can be left at Sego Funeral Home.
