Howard was one of a kind. A pure delight to know and love. Though you feel a deep void in your heart, you can also feel God's incomparable peace. My guess is that he and Bert are teasing each other just beyond those Pearly Gates. You have my love and sympathy.

His friendship has been SPECIAL to me since we were Roommates at Carson-Newman College during the 1953-'54 academic school year. From top to bottom, "Goofus" was CLASS! Charley

Dr. Cobble was so kind to us when my husband, Randall Jones was diagnosed to Wegeners. He visited the hospital many times, checked on us always and introduced us to Damon and Evelyn Williams who became our very special friends, and upon Evelyn's passing and my Randall's passing, Damon and I became special friends. We told Dr. Cobble of this on one of his return visits to E'town. Thank you Dr. Cobble for spreading the gospel as only you could do and being a special Christian friend. I know Heaven had a special "fireworks" Friday evening when you arrived. I am so happy you were in my life.

Prayers being lifted for Norma and Sandra. You left an indelible mark on Elizabethtown and Hardin County and my life. Dr. Cobble had the rare dual quality of being both an outstanding preacher AND pastor/servant to God and your congregation. See you 'When We All Get to Heaven'...'Rabboni'
