Robert Grubbs Obituary
West Monroe - Funeral services for Mr. Robert Monroe Grubbs of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Friday, December 28, 2018 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home 911 Warren Dr. West Monroe with Bro. Frank Louis Woolsey officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the funeral home.
Mr. Grubbs was born December 2, 1952 in Oak Grove, LA and passed from this life on December 23, 2018 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 66. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved LSU and Saints football. He was a welder for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Gladys Grubbs; one brother, Jerry Grubbs; and his grandmother, Maggie Patrick.
Survivors include his daughter, Lindsay LaKay Grubbs and fiancé Ryan Tonneson of West Monroe; his son, Steven Sims of Hobbs, NM; one sister, Mary Ann Grubbs Bailes of Monroe; two grandchildren, Payton Wayne Grubbs and Maeson Kole Anding; one nephew, Mike Woolsey and wife, Rachael of Sterlington; one niece, Tammie Ann Woolsey of Columbia; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Payton Grubbs, Bruce McDaniel, Randy Waldrop, Tony Danna, Toby Trichell, Steven Sims, Dylan Woolsey and Scott Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be James Ray.

Robert was my brother in law for a brief moment in time. I saw him in March 2018. It was like time stood still even though I hadn't seen him in 45 plus years. The years and poor health had taken a toll on his body but his quick wit and sense of humor kept me laughing all day We ended that day with a "kitchen sink" pizza..Robert gave me a huge hug with a promise that he would come to Florida some day. I will never forget Robert.A true friend and huge heart cant be replaced!! Blessings
