He was the former president of Hare Express, Inc. He was very active and respected by his peers in the transportation industry. He also was a former trustee of the Michigan Conference of the Michigan Teamsters Welfare Fund.
Beloved husband of Bette, whom he married August 11, 1951; dear father of Ross (Jayne) Hare, Paula (David) Darin, Michelle (Ray) Hamp, Patti (Jan) Blakely and Matthew (Michelle) Hare; loving grandfather of Nikki, Brian and Britany; brother of Ray (Barbara) Hare and the late Dale Hare; also survived by five nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Congregational Church, 1315 N. Pine Street in Rochester. Visitation Sunday, 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, 5 to 8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home
