Nancy Geraldine Sleight Nancy Geraldine Sleight passed away March 15, 2017, after a lengthy illness in Shelton Washington. She was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully at home. She was born June 9, 1945 to Daniel and Edna Nolan in Seattle Washington. Nancy graduated high school in 1963, from Holy Names Academy in Seattle. She then attended Wenatchee Valley College and Seattle University. She married her husband Leo Sleight on November 27, 1965 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Seattle. For the next twenty five years, she was a homemaker and dedicated Air Force wife, relocating more than a half a dozen times throughout the country, finally settling in San Antonio, Texas. Later in life, she went on to hold several administrative/secretarial positions before starting her own property management company in 1996 which she ran until her retirement in 2001. Nancy loved to travel, throughout the U.S. and internationally. She particularly loved the time she spent in the Middle East. She also loved gardening, spending time outdoors (especially the beach), reading, singing, dancing, painting and crafting. Above all else, Nancy will be remembered for her kindness and generosity. She truly never met a stranger and always has a kind word for everyone. She was best known for her distinctive and infectious laugh and her warm smile. More than anything, she was devoted to her husband and children. She is survived by her husband Leo; sons, Ryan and Spencer; daughter, Heather and brother; Michael Nolan. She was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Edna and brother, Daniel Nolan. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 12:00 noon, at St Michael's Catholic Church, 1208 11th Ave. SE, Olympia, WA 98201 with a reception to follow.
