BENJAMIN I. STEWARD

2000 - 2022

HOUTZDALE - Benjamin I. Steward, 21, of Houtzdale, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022.

Born on Nov. 18, 2000 in Clearfield, he was the son of Mark and Stephanie (Merrow) Steward of Houtzdale.

In addition to his parents, he will be deeply missed by six siblings, Douglas (Samantha) Steward of Philipsburg, Keirsten (Joey) Powell of Torrance, Mark Steward, Jr. of Houtzdale, Vivian Steward of Philipsburg, Savannah Steward of Houtzdale, and Isaiah Beatty of Houtzdale; grandparents, Doug and Rita Steward of Ohio, Jim and Auneak Wilt of Morrisdale, and Steven and Georgene Merrow of Morrisdale; aunts and uncles, Michael and Sally Steward of Three Springs, Jason Steward of Ohio, John and Jaimee Conklin of Morrisdale, and Deanna Briscoe of Morrisdale; nephews, Eli and Damon of Philipsburg; and nieces Charlie, Lizzy, and Alex of Torrance.

Benjamin was adventurous and lived to hunt, fish, trap, hike, and explore. Benjamin loved the smell of rain on fresh cut grass. He loved Samantha's homemade mac-n-cheese, cruising around in Doug's truck with the music cranked up, hanging out with Rachelle and Kaedyn, and spending time with Gus, Brittany, and little Riley. Benjamin was a loyal friend to the few who were lucky enough to have that title.

Benjamin loved to be helpful and was fiercely competitive in the online gaming world, where he would often be heard complaining of back pain from carrying his teammates. Benjamin is loved by all who have been privileged with knowing him and he is missed deeply by all who love him. As his parents we were so blessed to have him 21 years. It wasn't long enough.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
