EDWARD SMOLKO Obituary
Born May 3, 1943, he was the son of Stephen and Anna (Weitoish) Smolko.
He was Catholic by faith and worked as a driller for Riverhill Coal Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
He wed the former Kimberly Picard on Sept. 15, 1979 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church in Winburne.
He is survived by his wife Kimberly; daughters, Hilary of Winburne, Natalie (Tim) Corbin of Snow Hill, Md., and Kay of Winburne; sons, Edward of Swedesboro, N.J.; Stephen (Haley) of Falls Creek, John of Dubois and Jay of Winburne.
Also surviving are sisters, Susan (Charles) Conley of Mentor, Ohio, Marge Clark of Tyrone, Anna Marie (Vincent) Concel of Sewickley; and brother Stephen of Dunn, N.C.
He is also survived by six grandchildren; Serenity, Eva, Stephen, Andi, Annabelle and Benjamin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rose Kochan and Mary Jane Perks; and brothers, Andrew, John and Martin.
There will be no public viewing per Edward's request.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
The Reed Funeral Home of Houtzdale is in charge of the arrangements.

Still can't believe you are gone. There isn't a day that I haven't thought of you and been overtaken by sadness. I hope you are at peace and know you'll always be watching over me and will give me that kick in the butt when I need it. Love you and miss you soo much Dad.
