Sandra Smith Obituary

Sandra L. Smith, 75, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Sandra was born Feb. 10, 1950, in Clearfield and was raised by her mother, Mary Jane (Royer) Clark and stepfather, Ralph Clark Sr.

Mrs. Smith graduated from Clearfield High School as well as the Clearfield County Votech, where she earned her LPN license. Sandra retired from the Windy Hill Village Nursing Home in Philipsburg, after being employed there for over 30 years. In her spare time, she loved watching and feeding wildlife, especially the birds and squirrels. In years past, she had liked to shoot pool, throw darts, and play softball. Her family was the love of her life, and she cherished each and every one of them.

Sandra is survived by four children, Melissa Leigey of Dunbar, Amy Jo King and husband Donald of Karthaus, Hile "Butch" Smith and wife Peggy of Frenchville, and Tyler Smith and wife Kelly of Olanta; 11 grandchildren, Shalyn, Shellbie, Josalyne, Gentry, Logan, Riley, Skyler, Madison, Noviah, Lyken, and Aspen; two great-grandchildren, Aria and Dekan; two brothers, Jimmy Smith and wife Marlene, and Ralph Clark Jr. and wife Kathy; two sisters, Becky Johnson and husband Fred, and Kim Robbins and husband Doug. Sandra is also survived by her companion, Danny Askey of Karthaus.

She is preceded in death by mother and step father; and two brothers, Richard "Dickey" Smith and Greg Smith.

In honor of Sandra's wishes, there will be no public services. A private celebration of life for family will be held at their convenience.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to charity of donor's choice.
