STEVE WILLIAM "LORDY" LORD

1964 - 2022

OLANTA - Steve William ""Lordy"" Lord, 57, of Olanta, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at his residence.

Born April 12, 1964 in Clearfield, he was the son of the late William H. Lord and Doris E. (Matthews) Lord, who survives.

Steve was a 1983 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years for various companies in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, retiring in 2020.

On Sept. 5, 2015, he wed Bonnie (Seyler) Lord of Olanta, who survives. Along with his mother, Doris Lord, also surviving are his daughters Stephanie (Max) Lord-Wetherington of State College, and Lindsay Lord of Brunswick, Maine; stepchildren, William (Hannah) Seyler of Honolulu, Hawaii and Annie Seyer of Clearfield; grandchildren, Cora and Wells Wetherington; step-grandchildren, Maddox and Rosie Seyler, Micah Seyler, and Margo Seyler; brother, Larry Lord of Madera, Cindy Selfridge of Glen Richey, Lon (Angela) Lord Castelli of Lewistown; former wife, Diane (Lightner) Stapleford of Boalsburg; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, William H. Lord; his paternal grandparents, Albert and Violet Lord; his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Dorothy Matthews; stepson, Raymond Seyler; and niece, Jennifer Lord.

The simplest pleasures in life brought Steve immense joy. He loved spending time outdoors. He loved his girls and his grandchildren and was always busy making them jewelry and crafting eclectic gifts. As an avid outdoorsman he loved fishing, hunting, canoeing, riding motorcycles and gardening. You could often find him riding around his property on the tractor or working on projects throughout his land. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

At Steve's request, there will be no public visitation.

A gathering for family and friends will be announced later.

The family suggests contributions be made to Bilger's Rocks, Grampian.
