I am so sorry for your loss. I attended the Oxford Area School District and seeing Mr. Mayersky always brightened my day. He remembered my parents who attended the district and would always call me "Little Bear" since he would call my mom "Bear" when she went through school and would always give me candy before I went into the bus. Such a bright light and sweet soul taken from us too soon. I will cherish these memories forever and I am so grateful to have had the chance to know him.

We moved to the neighborhood a few years ago, and Tom quickly became a friendly and familiar face. After we had our son, he would often stop us during our walks to say hello to him-and even slip a dollar or two for his piggy bank. His kindness always shone through. Tom´s warmth and one-of-a-kind character will be deeply missed, and we´re glad to have crossed paths with him.

Moose was a good friend through high school and all these years since. I was so shocked and sorry to hear of his passing. We talked many times over the phone about good times we had in school. He remembered everything that happened all those years ago. I always had a smile on my face when we hung up. You have my deepest sympathy Candy. He was a great guy.

I had just talked to Moose the day or two before and we had some laughs. I remember he said,"75 years and we never had a harsh word between us." I remember growing up together and playing ball out side until it was so dark you couldn't see the ball. A lot of very happy memories. I will miss him.

Condolences to the Mayersky family and all who knew him. Mr. Mayersky was my teacher in the early 90´s and left quite the impact. He will be missed.
Hey Mr Mayersky:
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it
