Mr. George C. Heinbaugh
Waynesboro - Mr. George C. Heinbaugh, 67, of Waynesboro, PA, went to his Heavenly home on Friday, January 1, 2021, following a short battle with Covid.
Born April 3, 1953 in Mercersburg, PA, he was the son of Florence (Keebaugh) Fittry of Waynesboro and the late Grover Cleveland Heinbaugh.
George was a dedicated member of Emmanuel Full Gospel Church, where he was an active board member.
He retired from Grove Manufacturing after 26 years of service. Following his retirement, he spent time working on his small farm. George enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, enjoying the outdoors and always eager to help others in any way he could.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Francine (McKean) Heinbaugh; his children, Darla Carter of Reidsville, NC, Crystal Stockslager and her husband, Jeremi, and Richard Heinbaugh and his wife, Joy of Waynesboro; 7 grandchildren, Christina Johnson (Tray), Nicole Edwards (Daniel), Danielle Hawks (Cole), Amber Stockslager, Ryan Heinbaugh (Taylor), Keith Heinbaugh, Kody Heinbaugh; two great-grandchildren, Rowan Johnson and Maddox Hawks; five brothers, Grover Heinbaugh of Murrysville, PA, Leonard Heinbaugh of Chambersburg, Ronald Heinbaugh of Chambersburg, Dwaine Heinbaugh of St. Thomas, PA, and William Heinbaugh of Greencastle; 8 sisters, Sharon Keen, Jennifer McMickin, and Beverly Bingaman of Chambersburg, Janice Clark and Lois Fulton of Waynesboro, Brenda Allen of Mercersburg, PA, Nancy Costello of Ocala, FL and Christine Baker of Tavares, FL; his adopted great-nephew, Andrew; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Alissa Stockslager.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Emmanuel Full Gospel Church, 11354 Anthony Highway, Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Antietam Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Wednesday afternoon, in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Francine Heinbaugh to defray expenses or to Emmanuel Full Gospel Church. Both donations may be mailed to: C/O Richard Heinbaugh 9688 Masters Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
