Joseph Cioppi Obituary

JOSEPH CIOPPI Joseph N. Cioppi, 88, of Lansdale, passed away March 29, 2011. He was the beloved husband of 59 years to the late Patricia (Shaddock) Cioppi, who died in 2003. Born in Lambertville, NJ, he was the son of the late Nicola and Antoinette (Sabatini) Cioppi. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the European Theatre during WWII and was the recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. The joy of his life was his work. He was a devoted member of the Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church Community in North Wales. Surviving are five children, Michael T. Cioppi of New Hope; The Reverend Martin T. Cioppi, of King of Prussia; Katharine Blandin and her husband, Anthony, of North Wales; Peter J. Cioppi and his wife, Joanne, of Boyertown and Andrew P. Cioppi and his wife, Lisa, of North Wales; and ten grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Road, North Wales, PA 19454, Saturday April 2 at 1 PM followed by interment in St. John Neumann Cemetery. The family will greet friends in the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, Friday, 7 to 9PM and at the church Saturday from 11:30AM to 12:45PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to either Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, designated Rosary Garden (address above) or Elm Terrace Gardens, 660 N. Broad St., Lansdale, PA 19446.
