William Davis Obituary

William H. "Bill" Davis of Doolittle, Missouri passed away at his home on January 31, 2016. Bill was born in Neosho, Missouri on January 29, 1933. Bill married Mary "Jane" Davis on April 30, 1983. Bill was a 40 year employee of Gascosage Electric Coop in Dixon, Missouri. After medical retirement he served 21 years on the Gascosage Electric Board of Directors. In 1995 Bill was awarded the A.C. Burrows Service Award for his service in the electric program. In 2005 he was inducted in the Mo. Coop. Hall of Fame. Bill was a active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and Doolittle Lions Club,also proudly served in the Army, he loved to work outdoors completing many projects, he loved to golf, fish and participate in bowling.

Davis was preceded in death by his parents, a step- father Lee Peter , his mother Allie Peters, a daughter Lisa Ann Davis, and a brother Don Davis.
Davis is survived by his wife Mary (Jane) Davis of Doolittle, 3 sons, Steve Davis and Donna of Bolivar, Billy Davis of St. Roberts, Michael Davis and Karen of Dixon, a daughter, Christy Lewis and Scott of Lebanon, 3 stepsons, Chris Smith and Tammy of Newburg, Richard Smith and Karen of Doolittle, Sam Smith and Debbie of Florida, Grandchildren, Justin, Jesse, Christina, Russell, Stephen, Stephanie, Sydney Lauri, Kelly, Meghan, Cassey, Brandon L., Jonny, Chris, Brandon, Joshua, Mathew, Kris, Kyle, Emily and Cody. 22 Great Grandchildren , 2 sisters, Betty Estes and Jim of Rosebud, and Mary Rosalie Weavers of Hermann, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation : Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at Teague And Sons Funeral Home in Newburg, Missouri. Funeral Service : Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11:00am at Teague And Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church Building Fund. All arrangements were made under direction of Teague And Sons Funeral Home in Newburg, Missouri.

Bill will be greatly missed by so many people! I sure loved seeing him and Jane bowl together. They would be walking in to Coachlite Lanes and be holding hands. It would warm my heart. Jane you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
